The Photovoltaic Curtain Wall Development Forum and the Standard Compilation Kick-off Meeting of Photovoltaic Curtain Wall Application Guide was grandly held from December 9 to 10 in Gutian, a well-known Chinese revolutionary site. It was hosted by China BIPV Applications Committee and undertaken by Le’ster (xiamen) Co., Ltd. Baton Culture was one of the invited medias.

The conference was strongly supported by China Academy of Building Research, Zhejiang Province Institution of Architectural Design and Research, Institution of BIPV Research, Le’ster (xiamen) Co., Ltd. and etc. More than 100 association leaders, experts, high-level enterprise representatives of various circles from all over the country attended the seminar.

The meeting was held with the background for the implementation of Assessment Standard for Green Building and Technical Standard for Nearly Zero Energy Buildings issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development of the People’s Republic of China in 2019,promoting renewable energy application in buildings.

The meeting aims to explore the future path of photovoltaic buildings and a series of speeches were delivered under this theme. Through this seminar, participants reached a consensus,that is photovoltaic building should become the mainstream of distributed photovoltaic, through photovoltaic buildings to produce clean energy, maximize the level of building energy efficiency.

At the kick-off meeting on the afternoon of the 10th, Zhang fang, vice chairman of China BIPV Applications Committee, who chaired the meeting, reported the basic policy of technical guide for application of photovoltaic system on building, implementation methods and requirements.He also explained the schedule of standard compilation and the framework of the standard and other relevant contents.

"Standards are not written, but researched," zhang said. Before the meeting, the committee and Le’ster, had conducted a six-month survey to collect some completed cases about photovoltaic curtain walls. Next, they will work with companies involved in compiling the standards, set up research groups, select research projects and conduct scientific experiments, and then compile them into guidelines for application.
